Musical Theatre: Acting through Song and Movement

Joy will be teaching a weekly musical theatre class for the wonderful 6th Street Playhouse! A class for students age 18-118, exploring different movement styles, musicality, and acting techniques every week.

Wednesdays, Oct 21-Dec 16 + Dec 2; 5:00-6:00pm
No class Thanksgiving week.

• Students will be exposed to a variety of choreographers, movement styles, and musicals to broaden their understanding of musical theatre storytelling through movement. 

• Students will sharpen their techniques thoroughly understanding what sets musical theatre performance apart from any other type of storytelling.

• Students will have fun and grow in their love of performing in a safe virtual space.
